Tried to scam me last night. I was about to buy a Powerbook G4 15in laptop from him. Already so low on money and was about to get scammed again. That was a close one.

Thronka isn't a troll. I know him personally, and I have posted on his behalf on what was going on Evil Rick. You have also dealt with him in the past.
It is obvious that this is not the kind of deal he normally engages in.
I feel that EvilRick is being nothing less than vengeful and childish by posting him as a troll here for 1 deal gone bad. Particularly when in the end he did make good on it.
I am not defending Thronka's actions in his deal with EvilRick, just saying that he needs to be taken as a whole and not judged on 1 bad deal when he has many good deals behind him.
When one engages in repetitively deceitful behavior, is non-communicative, delays shipping for weeks, and falsifies a USPS document in a continuing attempt to perpetrate that deceit, well, that sounds like a troll to me. Rick isn't the only one who's had a bad trading experience with thronka.
Having a stack of good Heats is not a guarantee someone won't troll you; it's an historical indicator of past trading behavior, and should give you an idea of what to expect.
Part of the problem is, not every victim or recipient of bad trading behavior posts an appropriate Heat. Recipients of bad trading behavior should never fear retaliatory Heat for their honest negative or neutral evaluations, because the TrollHunters and Heat staff will remove it if they're notified.
thronka used extremely poor judgment in his remorseless attempts to troll our Trading forum moderator and got what he deserved. If thronka had been honest I believe Rick would've bent over backwards to work it out with him to avoid all this. I know from working with Rick that he's truthful, trustworthy, and a fair guy. In fact, Rick contacted me and another staff member prior to publicly reporting thronka, to get our opinions that he (Rick) was acting responsibly and fairly, considering his position. I and other staff stand behind Rick on this one.
Personally, I think thronka should consider himself lucky if Rick doesn't report thronka's documented and admitted fraudulent acts to the USPS.
In any event, we have a reputation for and long history of ZERO tolerance for trolling behavior on our forums and thronka was around long enough to know it.
I've dealt with thronka last August over a digital camra, I didn't leave him a neg eval as I was soo ticked off, that I would had said things I shouldn't had.
as with ricks deal, thronka screwed around a very long time, he decided he should got to that gaming convention out there instead of mailing me my item, even though he had pleantly of time to do so befor had, and he was in such a hurry for me to pay him too. it took over a month that time just to get the cam. I had/have a letter here somewhere in this mess he enclosed with the camra stating he lied to me about what was going on. it took almost 4 months for me to finally get all the camra items from him. { software. tv to cam cable, cam to puter cable }
I have a deal now with him where as I been waiting since 24 June 2004 for a santa cruz turtle beach sound card over at XPC, I have let him know that he does have 30 days to get my item to me, which will be on the 24 July 2004, then I'm filing mail frauld charges. I'm done with screwing with folks like him and all the excuses.
now he's posted at XPC thats he's sueing some of use because of these two bad deals he's in.
well he brought this on himself, if he was a reposable seller none of this would had to happen. I agree with everything Socal has said above.
Also, I would please ask you direct such questions to someone on the ResellerRatings staff before publicly posting misinformed accusations regarding our operating policies. I am not a hard person to find or contact.

Update on my situration: today is 19 July 2004 Monday $@ 1757 hrs. and all I recived today from my post office box was a pc gamer mag, I checked the box this mornng around 11 am and again this afternoon around 4 pm, still no santa cruz turtle beach sound card from thronka.
refresher: I mail him a postal money order for a santa cruz turtle beach sound card with orginal drivers cd disk the 17 of June 2004 and he stated in his for sale thread at XPC that he recived it 24 June 2004 and was shipping right off.
I feel your pain ER. I get the same backlash when I speak of my bad experiences with Newegg! You can lean on me, I won't tell anyone.
Anywho, pretty scarry, that good of a heat and pulling something like that. Not cool at all. I could have swore I dealt with thronka before, but can't for the life of me find what it was...oh well, could be too much crizak smoking.
