He PM'd me w/ two different eBay ID's, the xxxdjstylzxxx doesn't exist, and the other was mustangguy19, which only had a few positives. Hard telling if that one was his or not.

he's already been banned so this is really not worth discussing any further but if you look up his email addy stylz@djstylz.com on ebay he has 6 pos although some of the traders look sketchy

might wanna post up your info over at pc abusers and maybe make the rounds

Banned from TechIMO for selling pirated software.

shahani was a long time and trusted member of TechIMO.
Posting and Trading here since Oct 2001.

This is why I feel I owe a detailed explanation to everyone.

He knew the consequences of his actions. He knew the Rules.

This member was not banned for the reasons he is stating on other forums, so unfortunately he has forced me to address his story.
The story he is spreading regarding being banned because he was trying to help someone out is not what happened here at TechIMO.
I read him publically saying he was misunderstood by a member and it was further misrepresented as to what he said in the PM in a community thread.
Other members are claiming someone set him up.
This is not true.

He was banned for selling and soliciting ILLEGAL SOFTWARE.

He was banned for SELLING copies of ILLEGAL SOFTWARE to a long time reputable member.

He lied in his thread stating "All original Microsoft Cd's with CD keys". He lied to us when he was questioned. The thread is now archived.

Some of the software he offered in the thread was purchased by a senior member and it turned out to be copies with cracks for the Authorization code on floppy disks.
There are pictures, there is proof.

This was not released to the public until the member who unknowingly bought the illegal software was able to resolve the matter as best as could, considering the circumstances.

The information is now in Microsoft's hands. Including pictures of all the software disks in question along with floppies that include the cracks.

Gee, i feel bad reading the above post. Shahani was a very active trader here. I did at least 2 large trade deals with him and they were great. I wish that hadnt happened!

I am on a few different fora and at this time of year there are many trolls at work. One of a few such trolls is Brymo (Brymo@comcast.net). This guy has been caught trying to pass off anothers good heatware refs as his own. I am doing this because I hate to see people get cheated. These fora are for honest people who want to trade goods at "friendly prices", nor for people who want to steal from our members!! Dont pay or ship first to someone you dont know and someone with no refs. Check refs out thoroughly, especially check out
email addies to make sure the refs are for the same person!!

Well, that's a doggone shame about Shahani. I disagreed with a lot of the stuff he posted in the Community forum, but knew him to be a straight up trader, at least on the hardware side of things. Not defending him, mind you, it's just a shame to see something like this happen.

Some good troll news for a change.

I reported, above, about Brymo. He is, or was, a troll. We thought it was 3 people he trolled, turns out it was 4 people. He received money orders from 3 people and a playstation and games from another, with "another" being a bit of a jerk as well, what a business this is!!! I will explain in a bit.

Anyway, I was talking to Brymo and he decided to send back the money orders he scammed and also the ps2 and games as above.
I am told by Bryan that all have now been returned, they are apparently in transit, with tracking for the ps2 and games.
So it appears Brymo has corrected his wrongs. I have explained to him that he will have to work hard to repair the damage that he has done and is still in for a lot of flak yet to come his way as people dont take kindly to being trolled.

Well, it turns out there is a small twist to this. The 4th person, who got scammed by Brymo for the ps2 and games doesnt even know he got scammed yet but his stuff is on its way back. However, a visit to his thread shows me this guy isnt a heck of a lot better than the guy who scammed him! That may be pushing it a bit, but if you go to the thread i have posted, you only have to read the first couple posts on page 1, then you can skip over to page 3, from about half way down and then all of page 4. You will see what i mean about the 4th guy.
In the end, though, it appears all 4 people are getting their money orders and ps2 back from Brymo.
Not defending Brymo, but he is a kid, a minor. Hopefully he has learned a lesson and will decide to go straight. Lets face it, anyone can be a troll, but only a real man can stand up, admit they are wrong, and they make amends.

So here's one that is turning out ok in the end!

Since I am the person who got Brymo banned, perhaps i should be the person to inquire as to wether Brymo can get back on once it is reported that these 4 people have indeed received their stuff. Is there a way to give someone a "limited" account? LIke they can post but not make purchases or something like that?
Prolly not, I imagine.
I imagine Brymo will have to get on other forums and set out to prove himself by doing good, staying out of trouble, being honest about the past when questioned, and eventually earn himself a new reputation. This is where I have to bow out, I'm not a mod and I dont know all the rules and regs of that type of work.

Anyway, bad story turned out ok in the end!! And, maybe, troll gone good!!!
