I've had this processor for about 1.5yrs. It works great. I've had it overclocked upto 2.7Ghz completely stable. However, I don't run it at 2.7Ghz I keep it at stock. I'm positive it will do a lot more then 2.7Ghz if you plan on overclocking. I never O/C aggressively. This processor is absolutely awesome. It's got over 1700+ reviews on Newegg and is 5/5 stars.
