Pristine retail boxed,- opened only to inspect contents; includes the processor and AMD fan with heatsink, AMD Athlon 64 X2 case decal, all original documentation and factory 3 year warranty. This would be a great deal for anyone interested in upgrading or newbuild PC.

[11-19-07 Added much improved images of items, new items and price drop, info on accepting US Postal Money Orders.

10:10pm 11-11-07 Finally found time to update info for both this, the techimo.com/resellerratings.com forum sale post and the site where I have all of the sale items details and images posted; following is a list of items I am offering for sale, and the asking prices,- as well as the http:// address where they can be seen by entering in the item name in search field (unfortunately, postaroo.com does not have the ability to direct hyperlink you to the individual items, as their security features will not permit display in that manner, but it IS possible to hyperlink to the general postaroo Minneapolis Sale Page):

http://www.postaroo.com/Minneapolis-MN/for-sale

Note: All items are listed with sale prices of items only; actual shipping cost will be added to the total of the transaction. Also, prices are negotiable and total package deal prices considered for multiple item purchases.

Will accept US Postal Money Order or Paypal to Confirmed address listed with PayPal from forum members with good heatware and/or beerology transaction feedback histories.

IMPROVED IMAGES POSTED ON POSTAROO
Illuminated keyboard images were generic,- now updated to images of actual item. Added pics of power inverter. Firewire card additional/better pics. Viavoice w/DSP 500 headset better pics. Laptop power supply better pics and description. Additional and better pics of other items have been posted and will be adding more.

UPDATE 01-10-08 I have just become aware that Postaroo has shut down in late December 07 and is no longer hosting item listings and images; I will be updating info on my items and images as soon as I find another good free appropriate host site. Thanks.

Laptop Power Supply (was $12) $8

Laptop replacement power supply; works with most non-proprietary type connector laptops that use the standard size M coaxial power jack plug connector and require 17 to 20 volt DC power.

Model: ADP-36DB REV:A

P/N: 234077-001 REV: X2

DELTA ELECTRONICS. INC

INPUT: 100-240V~1.0A

50-60Hz 59-69VA

OUTPUT: 18V---- 1.9A

TOTAL OUTPUT: 34.2W

Fit many IBM and several Gateway laptops for certain,- others need match connector type and polarity as shown in images specs on the power supply.

Digital stopwatch (was $7) $5

Great looking multifunction stopwatch, with time
and date features as well as multi stopwatch
simultaneous clocking of and memory.

(Images and details of all items on postaroo.com
http above and enter
name of item in search).

Four port USB 2.0 expansion port addon $7

(Most motherboards have only two internal USB port
connections; with this you can plug the two connectors
into the two motherboard USB connector ports and
have 4 ports instead of two that you can access from
one of the rear breakout slots of your computer tower).

This is brand new, never installed and guaranteed to work
for USB 1.1 and 2.0 high speed USB standard.

Uniden 40 channel CB radio transceiver w/ quality mic $20
Great for multi vehicle travel when no cell tower access,
or user doesn't have unlimited minutes; also channel 9 is
monitored by Highway Patrol for emergencies.

12V DC electronic noise suppressor (was $10) $8
High quality capacitive electronic noise suppressor stops annoying and damaging humm/buzz feedback caused by electronic noise created by unfiltered DC line voltage, alternator, spark plug wires or other electronic interference.

Brand new, unused, never installed. (Checker Auto Parts sells this for $18). This is an important component that makes no sense to leave out of a high-end audio system; protect your investment and spare your friends and your own ears.

Unlike so many 'do nothing' gizmos that serve no purpose other than their tech appearance,- this actually performs a specific function,- namely to filter and condition DC current to remove annoying noise and prevent voltage spikes that can and do damage expensive audio equipment.

The two large capacitors and heatsink absorb and discipate spikes that would otherwise be taking their toll on the capacitors and other sensitive components of your beloved amplifier.

This doesn't replace a fuseblock,- it should be installed in addition to an appropriately rated protective fuse. High watt hard worked amplifiers often blow capacitors long before [if ever] a fuse blows.

PC-100 64MB SODIM Laptop memory (was $10) $7
Generic laptop memory, works fine, I upgraded to
larger capacity. Great for inexpensive replacement for
aging laptops,- the PC-100 SODIM is getting difficult
to find and expensive.

Creative PC-CAM 550 $25
(full retail boxed, pristine as new)

APC Biopod Biometric Password Manager (was $15) $9
(full retail packaged)

APC Back-UPS PRO 280 (dark charcoal gray) (was $15) $12

automatic safe save and powerdown)

Logitech Wingman Formula Force Driving Wheel (was $30) $28
and Pedals (force-feedback physical resistance)
(full retail boxed, pristine like new)

AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200+ AM2 Windsor Processor $70 ***SOLD***
(full retail boxed, new, opened only to inspect)

Search and Rescue 3 PC Game $8
(Full retail boxed,pristine)

Real War and Real War Rogues States 1 and 2 $16

Janes 688I Hunter Killer PC Game xxxx SOLD xxxx $7

Still the greatest sub game ever
Mint condition in CD case with
cover art sleeve and back cover CD art.

Clint Black Greatest Hits Guitar Tab Sheet Music $5

In like new condition,- original retail price was $16.95
Some really great country music style songs with fun
riffs for acoustic guitar.

Ghost Recon one of the most replayed PC games

Ghost Recon/GR Island Thunder/GR Desert Siege:
With nearly a dozen high quality free mods and expansions free to download online, Ghost Recon for PC is one of the most replayable [and replayed] PC games ever published, and continues to be a favorite for team matches on free game sites like GameSpy Arcade and other free host sites. (I would still be interested in team matches myself, if I weren't so busy).

hicup.. hicup..

Re: AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200+ AM2 Windsor Processor
Sure, send me a list and I'll take a look. ClubIT.com just sent me an email touting an AMD X2 5000 Windsor Black Box Edition (wow-we ) for $125; it only has L2 cache of 2x512, compared to 2x1MB on the 5200 Winsdsor,- and Black Box Editions simply come with the FSB unlocked on mediocre processors to begin with, and of course 'WOF' (no big deal, no serious builder uses stock heatsink or fan anyway).

The AM2 5200 Windsor with the higher Watt 89W core and unlocked FSB is still the best gaming processor for the price; I'm a registered Microsoft System Builder/OEM OS Installer,- having built many gaming rigs,- and if I were going to buy a Black Box Edition,- it would be the one I have built friends gaming rigs with,- the X2 AM2 6400 Windsor, a bit pricier at $209 newegg.com price,- but still a great buy (I may yet buy myself one for Christmas
, Ho Ho).

Anywho,- send me a list of goodies and maybe post some links to your trades in other forums in my thread so others here can get familiar with you too.

Have a good one,

DS

As far as trades go, unless we were in the same general locale and could trade in person, there would probably not be any practical way to work anything secure out,- as you have no transaction history in this forum, and trades are rare even between those who have been here for years. I'm sure you understand my reasoning.

Thanks,
DS

Thank You,

I understand what you mean I just joined yesterday when I seen the X2 5200+ for sale. I'm a member of other forums. If you did see something you liked that I had I would ship it first so you could try it out if you would like me to. Just let me know and i'll send you a list of the stuff I have for trade.

PM Quote fom Rainman 21:
I 'm still thinking on it, it would make a good upgrade from an single core 3800+. How much is shipping to zip 41773. If I have anything on the list that you are interested in I could give you the item + cash.

Quote from Dragon Slayer PM:
Re: AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200+ AM2 Windsor Processor

USPS Postage Rate Calculator

Mail Service Selected: Parcel Post 1.0 lbs. $4.50
Insured Mail
*Amount of Insurance: [$70.00 ] $2.05
Delivery Confirmation®: $0.75
Total shipping (includes Parcel Post for $4.50) $7.30

This processor cost me $236 less than 3 months ago, and is new in the retail package with everything it was factory packaged with: processor, heatsink/fan, all documentation, 3 year manufacturers warranty certificate and COA.

The 5200 CPU is quite suitable for gaming, especially when combined with powerful graphics card with a GPU chipset like the nVidea 8800 GTS or GTX.
Any processor less than the AMD 5000 Windsor or Intel equivalent would experience some issues attempting to run high-end game grahics/graphics cards.

It would definitely make a MAJOR upgrade from the 3800,- and could still be sold to one of my clients for $90 to $100 with a new build PC,- but I currently am recommending the 6000 or 6400 when I build gaming rigs, and gaming rigs are generally all I am building at this time.

As much as I'd like for you to have it, I would need something I can actually use to accept for partial trade value (doesn't necessarily have to be computer related).

If you can think of anything interesting, I will give it serious consideration.

Thanks,

DS

From Dragon Slayer:

Rainman,
You should post a sale thread, and then use the money you get from that; there are bound to be some who need to replace processors to keep their beloved Neanderthal era equipment going (I have some old school backwards compatible gaming rigs myself that I keep for playing my vintage aircraft WWII era combat flight sims,- but have all the parts I could ever need for maintaining them).
