Price for a used laptop.

I'm considering selling my old laptop to my neighbor.

The system specs are as follows:

AMD Skt. 754 3400+ Clawhammer CPU
1 Gb PC2700 Ram
100 GB HDD
8X DVD/ 24X CD burner
15.4" Display
ATI 9700 Mobility Video Card
Wireless B/G, Modem, Card Reader, 4 USB

Looks like new!

Power Brick (of course)

Battery still holds a reasonable charge, never was very long because of the power hungry CPU, but still about an hour or so.

OS - Windows XP Pro with ALL Disks and Docs
Laptop cooler, was $50 new, been in use about 6 months
Swiss Army Laptop Carry Bag

Approximatly 14 months old. (Laptop)

Plays DOOM 3 at 800 X 600 with no problems.

Now for the BIG ?... How much would be reasonable for this laptop.

TIA Max

Just considering the state of the laptop market right now.....
Internet price, I doubt you'd get more than $500 for it tops.
Local price, I wouldn't doubt you could tack on $200+ for that, but really not much more.

Good computer, good specs, but it's definitely not worth too much these days. You can always test the waters with whatever price you want if you are only "considering" selling.

Similar laptops go on eBay for $500 - $800, depending on physical condition and extras.

I was considering around $600 with the extras, I don't want to screw anyone over, just be fair about it. I may keep it for use when I'm not on the road as a home use comp. My desktop is kind of dated and of lesser spec.

Thanks for the replies, Max

Is it branded? Sounds like one of those Gateways. Is it?

Got pics?

It's actually an ABS, I ordered from NEWEGG. I don't have any pics handy but I can get them later.

ABS MAYHEM Mayhem G3 A45 AMD Athlon 64 3400+ 15.4" Wide XGA 1GB 100GB DVD±R/RW ATI Mobility Radeon 9700 NoteBook - Retail

Not one problem in the entire time.

EXCEPT one of the stickers did peel off the keyboard, I think it mentiond AMD CPU or something.

There are some photos attached now, I had to resize them a little with the file limits set here at TIMO. BTW I'm not a photographer by any means.
