WTB Athlon XP-M or XP3200+ or Sempy 3300+

I have a superlocked XP2400+ therefore I would like to get an unlocked CPU so I can run at 400MHz FSB. I'm still stuck at 266. If nobody here wants to sell or trade, I'll go to ebay, but would rather not.

A 2400+ should run at 400FSB, are you sure your board is capable of running 400FSB and you are making the right settings?

The motherboard is capable of 400MHz and I'm sure the CPU would be too if it weren't a superlocked chip. The multiplier is locked at 15x and no pencil trick, pin trick or anything else I've read about will work. Even converting it into a multi-processor won't work since I have an nforce2 chipset mobo which doesn't support that. I've been able to get up from (133) 266MHz to (150) 300MHz on the FSB, but the CPU is running at 2250MHz at that point and won't go any higher and still run stable.

Officially an Nforce 2 board doesn't support 400FSB unless it is the Ultra 400 model. I'm currently running 2 of these, one with a 2500+ at 2200MHZ and a 2600+ mobile at 2400mhz. A 3200+ cpu should run officially at 2200MHZ [200 x 11] not at 3200MHZ. Exactly what board do you have?
If you are getting 2250MHZ that is roughly equivelant to a 3200+ except you're doing it with a lower FSB.

It is a Biostar M7NCD Ultra which has the nforce2 Ultra chipset. I know I am getting good performance out of the CPU, but I wanted to get one that's not multiplier locked (which I believe all the CPU's I listed are) so I could run as you say (11x200) or whatever I could get out of it. The higher FSB would improve the memory throughput and overall performance of the computer.

Yes that board is a 400FSB board. Go for a new chip if you want but you're going to be disappointed when you find how little difference it really makes. My 2 machines are running at 2200 and 2400mhz and using them you can't tell any difference. I would save my money for the next big upgrade. My .02
Good Luck whichever way you go.
