I want to buy a gaming laptop that can play Oblivion and F.E.A.R.

Choices Dell XPS or Alienware

Don't have one for sale (I love mine too much even though I could use the money) but I thought I would let you know that the Dell E1705 (which is not an xps) can also be capable of playing those games.
Mine (which cost me $1200 about 5 months ago) has a Go 7800 with a core duo and a gig of ram (among lots of other things) and can play FEAR flawlessly.

I know it isn't the 7900GTX but it is pretty darn close in performance to my eye. Hopefully this helps make your search a little easier as the e1705s seem to be much cheaper than the xps systems and a ton less than an alienware.
