Did Socket A and SDRAM ever come on the same board? I thought they were all DDR

yes, they actually started with SDR and transitioned over to DDR...a good SDR Socket A mobo was the ECS K7S5A mobo due to the fact that it had 2 SDR and 2 DDR slots...can't be used at the same time, but was great for people who couldn't upgrade all at once...here's a list of a few others just off the top of my head...good luck finding them anywhere except eBay, though...you MIGHT get lucky and find someone here that has one, but who knows...good luck...

Chaintech 7AJA2 (just SDR I believe)
ECS K7S5A (DDR and SDR seperately)

That's the only 2 I can think of...prolly the most popular ones at the time of release...good luck...

EDIT: btw, I'm a TechIMO guy...have been for several years...I don't post on Reseller Ratings too often :-P Just in-case you're wondering how I've been a member for a few years with only like 5 posts...

I just bought an ASRock K7VM3 just this weekend for 45$. Brand new. They seem to be plentiful at the computer stores around here in the Pacific Northwest. It also has both slots for SDRAM and DDRAM. Its a cheapy with only 2 PCI and has an AGP slot. Thats all my wife needs or wants. Has on board everything else.

My old mobo was an asus a7v-133c which only took pc133s. Now I have to drop this project because of a bigger problem. Thanks.
