WTB CHEAP PCI VIDEO CARD

hye i just killed my radeon 9800 with bios flash so , now i need a pci to redo it, but dont have one layign aroudn anyone got one for really cheap ? thnx

If I am not mistaken, aren't you supposed to use non-graphics accelerator card like an isa card for such? If not, then I would hope a pci card would work in this case. Good luck tho.

If you've got ISA slots on that MB, it's time to get a new one anyway.

you wouldn't need an ISA slot... ? if you had a bad bios flash... a PCI video card is fine to use... if the MB had ISA slot's, it probably wouldn't run a 9800 anyways...

No an ISA video card, they were non-video accelerated card, which later with pci cards they changed. Maybe you dont remember this sort of technology when video accelerators came out? Anyway, to recover bios corruptions, especially with motherboards, you had to use such a card.
With video cards, you can likely get away with a pci card, but it was safer with a non-accelerated card. Some people still have motherboards with an isa slot that would take a 4x agp card and can do that. While i'd never bother using a non-certified bios just to yield a small increase in performance I wouldn't have to worry about that, however I have an ISA and PCI card if I never need it.
