Brand new Toshiba and Dell laptop for sale.
Hey, I am going to try this again, because I havent gotten to many responses on my last post, and if I did the people that seemed interested where impossible to get in contact with. Well lets start things off, I have 2 laptops for sale. My first on for sale is a Toshiba Satellite Laptop, and a Dell Inspirion 1200 laptop as well.
Toshiba Laptop
Intel Pentium 4 Processor
512MB of Ram
ATI RADEON MOBILITY 9000 Video Card(one of the best toshiba offers)
Windows Xp
3.0ghz
Condition- I have only had this laptop for around 3months now. I originally bought it for college, but since I ended up buying a apartment, I have enough space for a desktop. I purchased my desktop about a month ago, and now I have no need for this laptop. I only used this to type research papers, and surf the web during the first semester of my freshman year. It is in great coniditon, I have the discs that came with it, and the original box, so if you purchase it would be like buying it straight from toshiba.
Price- I am looking for around 700-800. If a legit buyer that is willing to pay for it soon offers me 700, im very much ok with that.
Dell Inspirion 1200
Intel Pentium 4 processor
Windows Xp
256Mb of Ram
1.5ghz
Condition- This was my brothers laptop, that he purchased at the same time as I purchased my toshiba. Its only 3months old, and in perfect condition. He bought a desktop before I did, so it has not been used that much at all. Used only for papers and surfing the web. Since this laptop isnt that powerful, im looking for 450.
I am new to the forum, so on my last post I had alot of recommendations to change how I present my offer. So this is the new 1. I had one offer, and sent the dell, but 2 days before he received it, he didnt want it, so I contacted UPS, and got it sent back to my apartment. Please Only people seriously interested in purchasing these laptops pm me or comment. I also recommend that if you are interested, you give a way of contact. A aol instant messenger screen name/ or yahoo. Or preferably a phone number. I have seen that it is much easier to settle things over the phone, rather than waiting online for the person to arrive, and never show up.
My email address is Luetwins@hotmail.com, my aim screen name is Sadc. Yes I have pictures of both the laptops, serious people interested in purchasing I can send you pictures with ease. Also, Payment methods, I prefer paypal, but we can settle something that we both agree on. Thanks for your time and patience -Steven.

to put prospective buyers at ease, do you have any references such as Heatware or any Ebay feedbacks? Also, for buyers who have large amounts of feedback, are you willing to ship first and get paid upon arrival? I ask this because many people will be wary of sending such a large amount of money to a person with one post.
Good luck on your sales.

I understand your skepticism, but understand that I am trying to sell my laptops, because if you have attended college, you understand the short budget. I only have 1 post, because I was just searching for places where I could try to sell my laptops. I have both of my laptops on ebay, but I get 10000 of messages buy scammers talking about their wife/son/husband/nephew/whoever in nigeria. Though I am both new to ebay, and this website, I would have no feedback again. First for all potential buyers, I would like a phone number for contact, and make the situation easier, besides talking on the internet the whole time, and just make the transaction easier. For some paypal would be in their best interests and I am willing to do that also. For the toshiba laptop, which is a bulk of money someone would have to send me, for their concerns I wouldnt mind sending the laptop first, and then they send the money. But also with that said, that leaves me at a disadvantage. With my product already sent, and no money in my hand, hmmmm........ thats not the best situation I would want to be in. So if any buyers are out there, I wouldnt mind talking, and sorting out this whole undecisive nonsense of buying and selling items. So we can come to some sort of agreement that satisfies both of us. But thank you for your post, im pretty sure alot of people were thinking that.

Also, I think it shouldnt matter if I have 1 post, or like you 1,500 posts. That doesnt really seperate me and you in my eyes. But that is just my opinion, I guess as a veteran at this forum, you probably see it differently, which to is also respectable.

It is not that I see us different, it is just that people who post often and make a lot of deals and have feedback have a sense of security and trust around them. I am glad to see you are willing to work with the buyer to make everyone happy and feel secure in the transaction (maybe a downpayment and rest on delivery type deal?). I may have to look into that Toshiba. It seems like a pretty good deal. Do you have the full model number?

Steven, I think you would get a better response if you presented the laptops a little better. Maybe make a list of each:
Toshiba K18AS300
Pentium 4 3.0GHz
512MB PC3200 Ram
80GB HD
...
Dell Insipiron 1200
Intel Celeron M 1.5GHz
512MB Ram
...
etc.
Also, you don't need to make any statements like: Quote: |
This laptop is more powerful than most at home pcs.
| We are computer geeks, you don't need to sell anything to us other than specs and pictures.
Anyways, good luck.
BTW this post is in no way suppose to sound mean, just trying to help you sell stuff. And it does kind of sound like you don't know what you are talking about or you think we don't know what we are looking at with statements like the one above, and for me personally I wouldn't buy something just because somebody made me sound inferior to them in the description with statements that only a normal user would fall for. I mean 3.0GHz and 512MB ram isn't more powerful than most home computers. . .
Also, even though I have 1400 posts, I still recently had to send an item b4 I got paid for it. Everything worked out well, just make sure you check out the buyers heatware etc. b4 you try that.

Hence, what I ment with the statement you posted, was just as a regular notion of normal computers. Most of yall would probably know what exactly to buy for a cpu, and normal families just go to best buy or something and buy something off the rack. But thank you for your comment, Ill be sure to keep that in mind next time I try to sell something. Also, yes I am new to this whole selling over forums, so I didnt know the proper way to sell my laptops. But thanks for your comments.

You need to enable your e-mail in your profile as well.
You'll find the Traders Rules quite handy and informative.
