I'm ok with soldering (although I have screwed up my share of PCBs in my younger days

). But the thing is I have already spent WAY too much time trying to revive the half-dead (mostly dead) mb that came with this cpu. It's a Soyo KT-600 Dragon Plus that I was really hoping to get working. But it was not meant to be. The damn mb shows it's getting the trickle power when the ps is on, but it just won't turn on. I've swapped or totally disconnected all the connecting periphrials, swapped cpu, ram, the ps, everything! I've even set it up completely bare (no case) with just the mb, ps, keyboard, and one hd. Still notta. There are no obvious signs of damage, no blown capacitors, no burnt resistors, no scars from anything physical. And yes the power and resest switches are connected properly.

[shrug] I give up. Spent too much time on it already.
So thanks for the offer but I'm gonna have to pass on the opportunity to enjoy even more frustration working with dead mb's.
