WTT: Sportster 28,800 Fax Modem
This didn't find a home via Ebay, so before it goes to the 'swap shop' at my local sanitation station, I thought I'd make it available for trade.
It's a US Robotics Sportster 28.8 Fax Modem -- v.32 & v.34 bis. I originally picked this up as a work-around for my data modem as a way to send faxes from my laptop, but well... I just never got around to setting it up and trying it out. Now, I just fax from work as needed.
As far as I know everything is ok with the modem. When I plugged it in, the "CS" indicator light came on. It comes with the original US Robotics power adapter and serial connector.
I have also downloaded what appears to be the most updated driver for this modem from 'driverguide' which I will be glad to include upon request.
If you've got something to trade, make me an offer -- (maybe a Disney DVD for my kids). Otherwise, if you can use it, I'll send it to you for the cost of shipping (say, $5 within the lower 48).
