looking for a cheap laptop

I'm looking for a frairly cheap lappy...$150'ish (hopefully shipped) it wont be used for much more than MSoffice and internet action...so the option to add a wireless card would be great...i figured about 900Mhz should do the trick...let me know if you got anything or know of anything....

edit: maybe I'm living in a dream world. I just fogured with lappys up to 3+ghz that i could find a 900or 800 for pretty cheap...oh well

Dude, it's more than likely gonna be like $300+. Even on ebay, a PIII 700MHz lappy goes for $300-$500.

Have you checked craigslist.com? Just last week, a guy was giving away his 500MHz PIII Toshiba laptop for free, and a few months ago, another guy sold something similar for $18 (both of them in New England). But you do need to check frequently, because these deals obviously never last long.

Ive bought one from them, cant beat the price if you can load an O/S yourself. Shipping is around $30 and is a little slow because they check the laptop out again after you buy it and before they ship it. The one I got showed up in great shape.

I bought an armada m300 off ebay for 160 shipped, the battery is subpar and needs to be replaced. But other than that and the scratches on the lid (was mentioned in the auction) the laptop is perfect.

12GB hard drive
128MB ram
No operating system installed, did have a 98se sticker on the bottom
dvdrom/floppy in docking station

This laptop is ultra light at 3.3lbs without docking station, I would think you could get a heavier one for less if you looked.
