I need a keyboard for a Dell CPX laptop. I can't remember if the mouse assy. is attached to it but if not I need one of those too.

TIA

Did you look at Fleabay or check with your local tech support stores that are authorized Dell techs?

you probably are only going to be able to use the exact same keyboard that is in your lappy. Maybe try and take out the keyboard (carefull that you know where every screw goes and of the ribbon cables that attach the keyboard to the laptop).

Is there any other specific numbers besides CPX, a model number perhaps?

I will be going somewhere tomorrow where there are a good number of scrap lappies, ill check then. Maybe there will be one.

I have one that is part #00655P. It's a used but working pull. I'll let it go for $20 shipped if you are in the US. If you need pics, I can take them tomorrow.

Give me a bit to yank Adrianne off of SWBG to check the numbers. If that's right then I'll take it. I'll send you a PM requesting payment info as soon as I know.

Thanks

the keybooard from a CPi-R,CPx-H,CPx-J and some of the CPt-* models will all work...the "C" series had only two basic types(CPx-H and CPx-J have the little rubber pointer in the middle of the keys....don't like it cause it eventually will marr your lcd...the CPi-R is same K/B only no pointer)the primary difference between them is the connector that attaches to the mobo...a small almost square(should be white)conn. WILL NOT!!!! fit the CPx models...they use a long rectangular (should be black)connector.

I use the CPi-R one on my CPx-J and it works fine.....

If you also need the touck pad"cat"....it is not part of the K/B...it resides in the "lower plastic's"

And $20 shipped is a nice price on this K/B....last one I bought "local" was $70 and was over $40 on fleabay
