For Sale - Canon Powershot G5 digital camera with 128mb card

I'm selling my old camera, now that I have purchased a new one (Canon SD400 - slick little thing).
It's a Canon PowerShot G5, good condition - everything works perfectly, but there are some cosmetic imperfections (mainly, that the ink labeling the modes on the mode select wheel has faded).

It was purchased from Best Buy in March of 2004, and I opted for the 4-year warranty, so it should be covered until 2008. I'm not quite sure how to go about getting it warrantied in the event it breaks... Best Buy should be able to help with that.

Although it's a relatively old camera (manufactured sometime in 2003 as far as I know), it takes excellent pictures and has a LOT of features. Macro photos are very good - when the zoom lens is used, you can get a fairly impressive depth of field.

As I mentioned before, the ink on the mode selector wheel on top of the camera has faded - it's still possible to turn the wheel to get to modes, but you have to look at the screen to see what mode you are in. AUTO is still visible, however, and it's easy to remember where the video clip mode is (those are the two modes I use 90% of the time).

See the following links for reviews of this camera:

Included in the package are:
Canon PowerShot G5
Canon BP-511 battery pack
Canon WL-DC100 wireless remote for Powershot G5
Lexar 128MB Compact Flash card, 12x speed
Canon USB cable for digital cameras (white - this one came with my SD400)
Canon CA-560 AC adapter for Powershot G5 (charges battery when plugged in and powered OFF)
Canon lens cover for Powershot G5 (ties onto the metal loop on either side of camera)
Canon neck strap for G-series digital cameras (ties to metal loop on each side of camera)
Canon A/V cable (basically male 1/8 stereo plug to 2-channel female RCA connectors)

Feel free to let me know if you have any questions. I can take more photos of the item if you need me to, but the batteries on my new camera are getting a bit low and I had to have someone mail me the charger since I left it somewhere

I have a few questions:
How's the condition of the camera other than the mode wheel lettering fade out?
Any scratch on the body or len (most concern)?
How many pic did you take from this camera (roughly)?
Is the 4 year extended warranty transferable? I talk to Bestbuy they told me it depend on the writing on the paper work. If yes, it needs to pay a fee and transfer to new owner by the original owner. Is this the right infomation I get from Bestbuy?
Thank you!

The body has no scratches. The screen has nothing but a very small scratch near one corner, that you can barely see even when the camera is off. The lens has no scratches, but it has some dust.
I have taken roughly 5000 pictures with the camera.

I will call best buy and ask them, and edit my post when I know more.

You mention there is dust on the len. Is it inside or outside? Inside is you need to send to service to clean it but outside you can blow it out & clean it with len tissue. Thank you!

Its just a little dust on the outside near the edges, and theres a smudge on the lens that doesn't seem to come off with the standard t-shirt cleaning method, so I gave up on it

I called best buy.. apparently I need to get a card from them, put the name of the person I sell it to, and sign it, then the warranty transfers.

OK. It's probably going on ebay tonight if you decide you don't want it.
