WTB: Dual CPU ATX Motherboards

I'm interested in getting ahold of some Slot 1 Pentium 2/3 generation motherboards in the ATX form factor, and I am also interested in a dual socket 462 athlon mp motherboard.

Although eBay has several of these boards for sale, they often end up selling for much more than they're worth at retail price currently. While I am not looking to screw someone out of a good motherboard for little money, I would like to save as much money as possible considering that ECC memory modules go for a pretty penny these days.

I am interested in combos as well, so if you have a dual mp system which is in the ATX form factor and have cpus to go with it, please make me an offer. In general, a brand new MP motherboard ATX will run for about $175, so I'd like to keep it around $100 if at all possible, I am open for negotiations. For factory direct high end slot 1 solutions in ATX will go for about 50 dollars shipped, so I am willing to negotiate around that figure as well.

Lastly, anyone selling me a motherboard that happens to have memory with it as well, please also make an offer.

Heatware under DPA

Thanks,

Kip

When I went to JandR the Saturday that just past, I saw they had 3 Tyan AMD motherboards for $99. No tax for you, but could be shipping involved.

Give me a moment and I'll get you a link.

Looks like they don't have it listed on the site, but what you could try doing it is over the phone, and see how that works out.

Finance

Just a tip... if you can use PIII flip-chips, the Acorp 6A815EPD is a terrific board. My only criticism is that it is limited to a max of 512 MB of SDRAM, but the two I've owned have been rock stable and a real bargain.

Sorry if this is a thread crap; just tryin' to help out a fellow duallie.

I've considered that crazyray, I've currently got a dual 3.06 xeon, and I'm just looking for a couple of systems to work as webhosting work-horses for a small business, as well as a second for a database server - Ideally I can snag something on eBay in the next few months, and stupidly I missed a really good deal on one the other day. Luckily time is on my side, though, thanks for your advice on the FCPGA chips.

I'm currently looking for a motherboard in ATX form factor, dual socket 370 motherboard, and AGP an slot on it. Currently the Asus VP6 has caught my attention, but I'd also be interested in a BP6 if anyone has one.

Thanks.

Still open to others.
