FS: BBA Radeon 9700 Pro 256 bit DX9 325/620 8 pipelines
Hi, I am selling a Built By ATI Radeon 9700 Pro Video Card. It is 256 bit, 128 mb DDR, 8 pipelines, and is clocked at 325/620. It uses 2.86ns memory and I hear it overclocks to 375/660. I cannot confirm this, since I have never ran it past 335/635 because it is so fast to begin with. It runs all my games on high flawlessly except maybe Doom 3 where I have to turn it down a notch. This card is excellent with AA and AF. It looks great and barely takes a performance. I bought used off of these forums about 2 months ago and haven't had a problem with it. The old owner took very good care of it. It still has its original heatsink and no mods or anything were ever attempted. I got 16,800 in 3DMARK 01 with it. I bought a new 6800 to replace it, and I didn't notice a huge difference except in Doom 3 maybe. The 9700 pro can hold its own today. Considering the technology available when it was made; imo and many others, it is the best card ever made. There is no reason to buy an expensive card that won't give a huge performance benefit except in 3DMARK05 or that is probably gping to be bottle-necked anyway. Just wait until next generation. The 9700 Pro just seems perfect to me. I should also mention that it is Direct X 9 compatible. I am asking $135 shipped for it.
