WTB - Athlon 1000MHZ (Thunderbird) SLOT A

Hi People,

I'm on the hunt for a Athlon 1000mhz (Thunderbird) Slot A cpu for my trusty old Asus KV7-RM motherboard. This was the fastest Slot A Athlon AMD built and I'm trying to get the most out of my old backup computer. Whille I occasionally see one come up on eBay, most are listed as "as-is", not the most confidence building of phrases.

I have a 900mhz if you're interested. It was sold as a 700mhz but the core is stamped 900mhz. Also have the goldfinger device to go with it. It run flawless at 900mhz and would probably easily overclock to 1000mhz but I don't know for sure.

I have either a 900 or 950 on the shelf, no way to test but you can have it for the cost of shipping/packaging. will check specs tonight.
