For those curious like me, it's a hard drive

On a side note, I've never had any luck trying to swap the pcb on a hard drive to recover data. A guy over at AnandTech tried several different pcbs to try and get an IBM working. I gave him one of mine to try. No luck. I've tried a Maxtor myself only to fail.

Good luck either way!

Not personally, no. But, I'm sure if somebody has one that they want to part with, they will let you know.

your best luck is to have the same make and model that rolled off the same line at the same time, I had to do this with a Western digital drive and did have success since the circuit board was the problem but at that point it was one or the other since warranty was gone so I got the data off and put it back on the old one

For the record I have had it work with a 10GB Maxtor, you have to make sure the codes are REALLY close if not the same.

Consider this a BUMP and Good luck

Libra, you consistently asking people for the pcb isn't going to help, its not easy to find an exact match and Samsung isn't too popular, this is why you should buy drives in pairs
