WTB Old Athlon System 800mhz+ , Doesnt need to be complete
Looking for an older athlon system, something cheap.
I need a proc, mobo some ram would probably help and a cheap vid card or onboard video even.
If you dont have everything then just post what you have.
I need a spare system quick and on the cheap cheap.
Here are my preferences but I'm willing to bend if the price is right.
I prefer Socket over Slot
I prefer 266 bus over 200 bus
I prefer a DDR board over Sdram
Just to give an idea of what im looking to spend I worked this little reference below up.
These are latest prices on pricewatch so if you wanna sell me something less then this for more then what I can get it for brand new /oem then please move on.
I dont want to build this system I want something cheaper but this is a good reference.
Athlon 1.3ghz $40
Kt266a baord $24
Radeon 7000 $25
Pc 2100 512mb $35 (from ebay cause pricewatch has older ddr priced higher then new ddr)
Total $124
So there it is, a decent little crappy system that would run quite well for what I need it for.
The parts dont have to match what I have up above, I would prefer socket over slot, and 266 bus over 200, and a ddr board over a sdram baord, BUT if the deals good enough I'll consider anything.
Dont need anything else besides whats listed and a hard drive if you got a good deal on one of those as well.
