Outdoors I want to buy Quake (the first one), it's so hard

*sigh* I've bought 20-50 Quakes & Dooms,.. out of all of those only two were full registered versions. No it's not like they were all cheap,.. infact the full registered versions were the cheapest,.. some were something like 50 dollars and then they'd say I'd have to register for 50 dollars again,..

Anyways, if you have any Quake (the first one) for sell or your not useing (some people just throw away), please read details and post because there is atleast 3 versions of just full registered verion ones alone.

I have Paypal, I live in the US, I'd most like one thats Dos & Windows, Full Registered Version, CD-Rom.

Isn't Quake "abandon-ware" or something to that effect. I know I just downloaded it off some site the other day.

I'm pretty sure I have the link on my other PC, I'll try and post it later.

I'm not completely sure what "abandoned-ware" is but, if I guess what that means correctly.. then NO! It was illegally available in full version registered for free on websites and all those sites got busted. There are Dos, Mac, Windows, Linux, & "PocketPC" versions... probably more.. some times more then one available in one box. Quake is under several company names from over the years and all those versions. Plus on top of all this there are Demo, Freeware, Shareware, & Full Versions,.. plus expansions & add-ons. Which makes it hard to get the right combo. There was some thing released called "Ultimate Quake" or "Quake Ultimate" within the last couple years that included Quake (1),.. and I think they just released the Linux Quake (1),.. I know the "PocketPC" Quake is new. Because of so many versions, add-ons, updates, extensions,.. etc. People often get confused and think they have found a full version of Quake some where when it might not even be a "Demo". Sorry about the massive Paragraph, but I don't know these boards at all so not sure how to do things,.. bad with paragraphs, grammer, and spelling to begin with.

Quake 1 and 2 are now free.. pending you can find someone with a copy... the source code has been released for public butchering and such...

I have a copy.. with a patch version 1.08?

Not sure where I got it tho.. it's been a while.
