WTB:Pentium III Processor (Working)

I need a Pentium III Processor to max this computer out I have. Hopefully your price is good, and it is working. I need a 600 mhz pentium III. No overclocked processors, just a stock processor.

Anyone have one?

Thanks!

Dane

it is a slot 1.

Could I get a faster processor with this motherboard? Dell reports only up to a 600 mhz pentium III.

Microprocessor types Intel Pentium II microprocessor with MMX™ technology or Intel Pentium III microprocessor
Microprocessor speeds 266, 333, 350, 400, or 450 MHz (Pentium II);
450, 500, 550, or 600 MHz (Pentium III)
Internal cache KB (16-KB data cache, 16-KB instruction cache)
L2 cache memory 512-KB pipeline burst, 4-way set-associative, write-back SRAM
Math coprocessor internal to the microprocessor
Microprocessor slot slot 1

System chip set Intel 440BX PIIX4e

A faster processor would be nice, if possible. If that information can't help, then I will look at the motherboard for a intel model number on it.

Thanks!

it all depends on if there is a bios upgrade for that motherboard . but i think the 440bx chipset can go up to 1gig if i am not mistaken . you will have to get the model # of the motherboard and find out IF there is a bios upgrade . being it is a dell i wouldn't get my hopes up .

Well, I just found a bios upgrade for it. I have A07, The upgrade is A10. Would that help, or does it have to be a hardware upgrade?
