Looking for a few things

Just need:

2. CDRW drive, pref silver $15 shipped

Not sure on exact prices and such, but if you're looking to get rid of any of those things above, shoot me a PM.

Also, don't get paid til Friday, so won't be sending payment until then.

YGPM. And I think I might have one silver-bezeled floppy left.

Thanks.

PMs sent to you both...and this may sound a little stupid but, can you just paint the drives with any ole paint or does it have to be something "special"?

All drives have plastic bezels which can be removed. After cleaning with alcohol, you can use a spray can of hobby/plastic model paint, and apply several light coats. Just avoid spraying paint into the drive itself. To me, the silver always looks like it's been painted, as opposed to the silver color being added to the polymer during manufacture. So I usually wind up using mfr's black components in those situations, although more often than not, the black drive colors do not exactly match, unless they're all from the same mfr. It's all a matter of what you like and can live with.

Here is a pretty good article on how to paint your plastic drive covers and other parts.
