WTB: 700MHz slot 1

Anyone have a 700MHz slot 1 CPU kicking around?

Cheers!

Beemer, does it HAVE to be 700 Mhz? I have a couple in that general range, but I'm pretty sure there isn't a 700 in there.

Ditto. I might have a 600E (will easily do 800EB) that I could maybe let go.

Got a 650 S1, 667 S1, and an 800EB and 733 FCPGA with a S1 adapter... The flipchips are coolerless though.

I'll hold off for a 700MHz slot 1. There has to be one kicking around somewhere. Everyone check the inner recesses of their closets.

I'm trying to max out my mothers machine. She has a A Open AX6-BC mobo.

Thanks for the offers so far.

Cheers!

OK, beemer, let me look. Come to think of it, my bench tester machine may have a 700 in it, but it hasn't seen 700 in a long time

you wanna really max it out?? forget 700 mhz..get you a nice tualatin adapter and run a tualatin celeron....they ROCK!..and they arent really expensive either

get one of these http://www.strattoncomputer.com/slot1-fcpga2.html

compatability charts, shows your motherboard listed as ok http://www.upgradeware.com/english/p...patibility.htm

Thanks John.
That would open up a whole new ball game all right.

I don't want to spend to much money on this though. A 700MHz cpu will do. She only web surfs, sends mail, downloads pictures off of her digital camera. Mostly I need the extra power when I'm over there. I edit her photos with Photoshop.

Cheers!
