WTB/WTTF cpu heatsink and fan XP1800+ or better

well im sick of my aeroflow, stupid thing starts clicking really loud after about an hour use....so im looking for a decent heatsink and fan for my Athlon XP1800+

LmK what ya got! i need this asap!!!!

had same problem, i took mine back, got a free replacement, also you can try the aeroflow 2, i am thinking of buying one of those in the near future... just a thought

yeah too bad im over an hour and a half from anywhere that sells those heatsinks/fans.....i think im going with something else...seems these tend to do this and i leave my pc on 24/7 crunching for FAD so i need somehting alittle more reliable....


(and i think i found one via rourkchris)

i have seen a couple of threads with this posted in them...hmmm wonder if there is a real problem with these fans? I am currently using a Volcano 7 HSF which runs great. Hey, rourkchris is a good guy to deal with. Shouldn't have any problems...

Really? That AeroFlow I sold you is a great one. Maybe the bearings? I knew it had a 3 year warranty on it. But Whatever you want... Hows that system working for you? Enjoying it?

I've got a copper cooling kit that is made for XP1800+ processors. I guess I'm too late. Oh well.

hey thronka, yeah its the fan, it seems to be rubbing after it heats up..i can get about 30minutes of use out of it, then it chatters as loud as someone hammering.....as far as the rest of the setup, its working great!

so the aeroflow has a three year warrenty...hmm...maybe ill give it a shot RMA'ing it...definatly doesnt hurt to have a back up...
