windows 98 upgrade

I am in need of a windows 98 upgrade cd. I have an old laptop here at home and it only has 95. someone gave me a windows 98SE but that won't load. If anyone out there wants to get rid of an old 98 upgrade cd, please let me know

What exactly happens when you use the 98 CD?

It goes thru the entire setup until the end then I get a message saying that i need windows 98 upgrade instead of windows 98SE
it also says that i have an operating system (95) that cannot be upgraded with that version of 98SE and I need windows 98 upgrade

Why don't you fdisk it and do a clean install of 98SE?

Okay folks, get this, sggolfer is looking for a CD. This thread is in the Traders Forum.

I have a Windows Millinieum upgrade cd. $25 and its yours.

Just do a clean install. make a boot disk, fdisk the drive, the the Win98 you have will work fine.
