Um, not quite true. It depends what you are willing to settle for.

A P133 or even maybe a P233 with 64MB RAM and a 13" screen, CD-ROM drive and floppy built in sells here for about US$250, so I can't see why you couldn't get one there. Won't run windows XP, but will run win2k Pro fine.

Sure a decent laptop secondhand will set you back more than US$500, but you can't say you can't get one for US$250.

Now, the question is, does anyone here have an old laptop for sale for that price??

BTW, fly, post your location so prospective sellers know what shipping may be involved.
