Wanted: Hard Disks

I need your hard disks! They can be 20 mb, or 500 terabytes, I don't care. They can't be formatted, as I need "evidence" off of them. I'm taking a forensics course, and want to learn how to properly make a back up copy of a hard disk. SCSI/IDE, doesn't matter. I can even do data recovery if you need a file you accidently erased! I'm hoping that the prices are affordable, as I don't have alot of cash laying around.

Hello Bill,

Yes it is. However, he must know his stuff. People who can use google to find a home address using a telephone number need not apply. You need to be able to know your stuff. This includes proper recovery of information from a hard disk, and more. I'll dig the forensic books I have out from underneath this pile of stuff on my desk, and give you the isbn numbers. There is a high demand for computer forensics people, and not enough qualified people. As a matter of fact, my local community college here in the fall should be offering a 4 year degree in computer forensics. I believe the college here would only be like the 4th in the country to offer a degree. If I talked to your son, I would tell him to go for it. Ultimately it is his decision, but this would be a very challenging job.
