Memory Johm Prophet

Morning ,John
You have helped me a lot to get my 98 going and maybe you can offer further help. I want to access Internet Explorer but I get a message "There is not enough memory to continue. Close down one or more applications and try again." I don't know if hard drive is memory but I have 2.12gb used and 16.5gb free. I would appreciate if you could help me with this problem.

How much ram memory is in your machine?
My Computer> Control Panel> System
It should tell right there how much ram you have.

64 MB is not bad however the more processes you have running the more memory is taxed.

Might consider going to 128.

IMO

With 90% system resources free I would say that it isn't a resource problem.

Try to repair Internet Explorer using the instructions on this page:

Cheers!

Or try using opera

But in all seriousness, I had issues once with IE, it would freeze up every other time I used it, and I'd get that stupid message that says "IE has encountered a problem and must shut down, please contact microsoft about this problem." I also remember it bogging down my system sometimes. I probably could have fixed this somehow with a windows update or something, but I just simply stopped using it and all is well. Of course you may just not have enough RAM to do what you're trying to do.
