Looking for a decent scanning program.

I have just been given a Canoscan FB 620P. It came with Canon Canocraft software which seems pretty crappy and doesnt have very many features. I cant even find how to descreen to remove a moire pattern in halftones.

Can someone suggest a good software program to use with a scanner. I dont mind paying for it.
