bios bep code help

I have a mb here I'm trying to build a computer out of, it's a P4 Dublin mb, from an emachines comp as far as I can tell. When I boot up, I get this beep code, all short beeps.

- --- --- -

in other words...

beep, beepbeepbeep, beepbeepbeep, beep

I can't tell what bios it is sonce it won't show on the monitor and the bios chip has some sort of sticker on it.

I put a known working vid card in it (mine since it has to be a 4x card) and still nothing, is agp shot? CAn't find a jumper to enable pci, so I suppose that's out...

anyone?

Try a PCI card - a lot of mobo's will resort to PCI if it can't find a valid AGP card.

In terms of beeps.... me no know!

Thx for the helps. I tried a pci first thing since I didn't want to have to pull mine. no fly Not surprising since it did come from an emachines I have a couple more pcis I'll try when I get back.

UB, yup, been there, tried that. closest I got was an 8 beep code saying video was bad or not present.

Thanks again.
