Good grief, this is a tough program to figure out on your own. It is decieving. The program has a user friendly interface, but I still have trouble with a lot of the tutorials I've found on the internet.

Is 3Dstudiomax any easier for a noob to learn? What's a good program to begin learning 3D modeling?

LOL!!

I have Maya Student Version and that thing is tough!
I never really did anything with it and the tutorials didn't worked for me either. I had to bring a friend home to learn some stuff and still I couldn't get the hang of it.

Is 3DStudio easier? I think I have to answer with a YES!
The tutorials I have found are clearer and although it has a lot of options, the program is way easier to use than Maya.
Heck, I think there are entire courses that concentrate on it!!
