A firewall for my home lan.

Im using the EZ Armor suite from CA which has an anti virus program and a firewall bundled together. The anti virus has a gui like VET and the firewall has a gui similar to Zone Alarms.

I have just setup a home lan and was wondering if the firewall will block unwanted traffic to the client computer which connects to the internet via ICS.
Im assuming that all traffic goes through the firewall first anyway so I am covered but need to make sure.

Thanks.

do you have the firewall on the machine that is running ICS?

all ICS does is share out your internet, it is not designed to be a firewall. I suggest putting the firewall software on the machine that is running the ICS, that way it will protect every machine that is beind the ICS server

Yes the firewall is on the server that is running the ICS.
Just making sure it was protecting the other machine as well, sounds like it is though, Thanks.

So's you don't have to run 2 machines at the same time, and if you haven't considered this already, you might want to think about getting a NAT-capable router:

It's nice being behind one of these, just to be sure.
