IF you have a router with multiple lan line hook-ups, you should be able to buy a LAN cable "not sure the exact name" looks like a larger telephone cable, take it from the router to the x-box, should do it. I don't have one, but know people who do and that's how they do it

i have a setup at home for my xbox. just a regular cat5 cable from my router to my xbox, and one from the router to each of the computers. a word of warning, downloading files and playing xbox live can decrease speeds on both ends (xbox and computer)

butch is he hosting the game?

sounds like he has p2p running and hosting a game up at the same time, which is eating up his upload speed

janny, hosting a game uses your upload speed. Using p2p can use your upload speed if you have files shared and people are downloading them from you

as far as I know, all my son wants to do is play games with his buddies online.
I don't want my connection speed to drop, its excellent at the moment.
Will it affect it?
