GIFs made w/animation shop 3 are slow

Hi everyone!!!!!!

I need some help. I've been making 60x60 avatars on Animation Shop 3. The avatars contain about 150 frames or less. I select the display time speed for each frame to 5/100th sec. When I view the gif in Animation Shop, it plays fine and at the correct speed, but when I save it and view it on my PC or IE browser, it plays much slower than I set it to be, like 40/100th sec. I even uploaded the GIF and viewed it on another PC and it played slow there too. What am I doing wrong?

THANKS!!!!!

Do you have one you might be able to post, so we can double check it?

Thanks for responding.

OK, here's one I just made. It's an avatar of a Paula Abdul music video, It contains 117 frames and 125kb. I set each frame to 1/100th sec. That's fast, but when you see it, it appears much slower.

Cut down to a workable size...

By the way, welcome to TechIMO

I look at it alittle closer, tonight when I get home in front of a real computer, instead of this piece of garbage at work.

Here's one with a little "snap" to the beginning...

Thanks for your much appreciated help!

I like the "snap"
What do you mean by workable size? And how did you get it from 125kb to 54kb??

Please tell me exactly what you did so I can learn and redo all my avatars.

Thanks!!

Using ImageReady 7.0, I simply opened the filmstrip and kept every third frame (exept for the ones I found that looked as though they needed to stay).

From there, I set the frame delay time to 0, and added a 5 frame "tween" to the first frame (tweening it with the next frame).

Then opimized it and there you have it!

You did a nice job, it was just a few too many frames.
