Clearing items in history list in IE 6....

How do you clear one or two items from your address history list in IE 6?? I know how to clear them all by going to Tools; Internet Options and clicking on Clear History. I just want to be able to delete one entry. Thanks in advance for any help.

Just push 'Ctrl' and 'H' at the same time while you have IE open. That will bring up your history on the right side of the screen. Find the one you want, right click and chose 'Delete'

Thanks Mad1 and WB. I tried deleting them both ways but they still show up when you drop down the address list. I guess there is no way to delete just one entry.

Run 'regedit' and search for the url you want to delete. It will appear under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\TypedURLs.
Double click on the string you want to edit. Rather than delete, substitute an innocuous url (that's what I do ).

Good for you!

BTW, just spent a couple days in Ann Arbor (we have tech centers in AA and Plymouth, and corp HQ in Southfield). Make it a point to visit Motor City Casino when I have a free evening (and some discretionary cash)... never have been to a Wings game at home, though. Sigh...
