i want to buy this ram :
ddr550(pc4400)
will i am going to loose some speed of this type ram with this motherboard which has ram supports of ddr400/336/200 max 4gb?

yes if you arent oced to the speed of the ram

the max bus speed on any cpu is 200 as of now and i dont think they will get any faster with ddr1 boards...the way it works is there is a bus and the cpu is either 2x (amd) or 4x (intel) and ddr is 2x so 2x200=400 which is the max you will be able to get unless you oc...however what cpu do you have...you will probally not be able to oc much stuff to that fast...if you dont have a 200 mhz bus or if you dont want to oc then this ram isnt for you

OverClocked...a method of adjusting FSB (front side bus) speeds, CPU multipliers, and voltages to faster/higher than stock settings obtain a faster system without upgrading hardware. Not something you want to do without doing some homework on it first, as damage to hardware can occur...
