Router Troubles

Ok this happens regularty now a days. With the router I unplugged it from my Surge Protector last week so I can shut my PC down but still have internet access with my PS2 Online. With that my PC acts up. Every time I log on my PC it takes me 4 reboots for the Internet to work. When I disconnected the router 2 days ago I noticed nothing wrong. So I plugged my router back in and my internet connection was lost, I unplugged it my Internet came back, I did this 3 more times with same results. Anyone know what is wrong?

Sup Ant,
Well, therem ight be a simple solution to your problem or a more complicated issue at hand. When you shut your router by simply "unplugging" it, as in many router cases, they have problems booting from their saved tables. Basically everytime you short it out by unplugging it, the router throws a temper tantrum and doesnt remember shteeze. This is the most common case i have found in routers today, except Cisco of course.... Another issue might be a short in your router, which i HIGHLY DOUBT, and in any case would be at the most complicated to fix because you would have to send the router back and whatnot. I really do think what your experiencing is what we all experience, a temporary short in the routers "memory" causing it to not boot, basically in Linksys routers is where the Diag light stays lit and nothing happens. Yes, its a pain but there is no simple way aorund it but to leave the mother running LAta bro

Cheers,

Greer
