Cendyne/Pioneer A05/105 Help Needed

My Cendyne Pioneer 105 is unable to make duplicate copies of DVD-R's and also unable to make a dvd-r from my camcorder. It always burns successfully but the copy is totally unplayable. (freezes, etc)

Any help would be appreciated.

what software are you using to burn?
what os are you using?

some burning sofware have the avility to verify the burning and make sure that the dvdr is actually readable. sometimes a bad burning can happen if your dvd disc has dust on it.

What kind of MEDIA? I've found even a good burner will burn lousy DVDs or CDs using lousy media.

Memorex comes to mind as a brand I will avoid at all costs. Ritek is considered one of the best for DVD-Rs.

The media I am using is the CompUSA Brand which I use in my Panny E80 DVD recorder with great results.

The software I use is Pinnacle Studio 8 and Pinnacle Instant DVD Copy and also DVD Xcopy. All with the same poor results.

I have also tried Khypermedia from Office Max with poor results.

My brother has the same DVD Burner as I and has perfect results with same media and software as I!
