am I wrong or can that be a solution. Would appreciate anyone who might have knowledge in this area.

Hi,
You cannot use the Mac LCD Screen because it uses an ADC Connection. What model is this Apple Monitor? Sorry, but your link is dead. (connection timed out)
There is though an ADC --> DVI converter out there that you can use to connect it to the pc. The main barrier is the connection of the monitor (ADC Connection), everything else is driven by the hardware. No additonal software needed.
All you need is that converter and then you can use it with the PC.
What model of the Apple Display are you talking about first? Apple's older montiors (around '00 to '02) used to be able to connect to PCs because they used a VGA connector or a DVI connector.

would this work?

It is a 20" cinema screen:

Dr. Bott ADC VGA Extractor

VGA Extractor allows the use of a VGA display on the ADC port (in place of the Apple Flat Panel Display). The VGA displays can be identical (nicest case) or different (e.g. small for palettes and large for layout).

VGA Extractor is simply plugged on to the ADC port which yields a standard VGA connector.
VGA Extractor is compatible with Power Macintosh G4s with ATI Radeon 7500, ATI Radeon 9000 Pro, nVidia GeForce 4MX, and NVIDIA GeForce4 Titanium video cards.

VGA Extractor is compatible with all VGA displays that work with the second, direct VGA port, be they CRT or flat panel displays (so far we do not know of any VGA display that would not work).

VGA Extractor has been tested using Mac OS 9.2.2 and Mac OS X 10.1.2 and higher, these are the operating systems that ship with the compatible Power Macs. VGA extractor is also compatible with Mac OS 10.2 Jaguar.

VGA Extractor is not compatible with the original Apple TwinView card based on nVidia GeForce 2MX that shipped in Power Mac G4 800 DP (model M8361) computers

Hi,
I don't see why it will not work Maybe is there a retail store or some store near your home that you can try out the product? If it works, great, but if it doesn't return it.. i think you can return it still if the price is cheaper on the internet. mainly, you want the return policy if it doesn't work, you can return it
