Kids intel d875 pro/1000 lan

what router should i get for 1000 lan . this is my 2nd pc in house and no wireless yet.
is there jus a basic router set-up or would both pc's need 1000
lan capability
haven't yet assembled pc yet, my 1st one

gigabit routers are thousands of dollars & unless you have something much faster than a standard dsl/cable broadband package, the extra bandwidth will never be realized.

a cheaper alternative would be a standard ethernet-100 router w/a gigabit switch connected to it.

i kinda like the netgear stuff for budget buyers.

they make a 5 port gigabit switch for $110.

newegg is one of my favorite sites to buy from (and i don't trust too many).

That is where i have bought almost everything except the memory.
i got it a zipzoomfly
oh yea ZZF has taken 6 days so far for their "free 2nd day air"
