Trillian not connecting...
This has been bugging me for a while, and I can't find out why its doing this.
I downloaded Trillian specifically for AIM cause I didn't like the annoying sound ads. At first, it kept giving me a headach and it wouldnt let me log on. The error it gave me was a "Error Code: 0". I unchecked the box for proxy and tada, it worked. Then when I rebooted my computer, i found out that Trillian gave me the same error again. Eventually i gave up on it.
So I downloaded GAIM instead. Now, GAIM is a great program, but i like Trillian better, it has a better interface and its a lot smoother. Plus i think GAIM is causing memory leaks or some such cause after its been running for a while, it seems my internet gets slowed to a crawl. Anyways, GAIM connects to AIM fine, and has been doing so for weeks now.
Does anyone know why GAIM can connect, but Trillian cant? I checked and both clients use the same log in url and the same port number. My firewall settings are exactly the same for both Gaim and Trillian, so its not that.
The error im getting is, "Error Code: 0". It doesnt say anything besides that.
