HELP. Mydoom on a file--I can't delete, quarantine or repair

Last night after a virus scan(Norton) I was notified that I two files with Mydoom on it. One was deleted successfully. The other----C:\_RESTORE\TEMP\A0014187.CPY---is still infected. Norton can't repair quatantine or delete NEITHER can I. I keep getting a window pop-up that says "can't delete -file in use or copywrited"
Can anyone help me out?
Mike
I am running Windows ME

1, Switch off system restore
2, Reboot
3, Switch system restore back on
4, Do another virus or mydoom scan.

System restore saves the virus in the restore folder but will only come alive if you restore that date back again.

You could try booting into Safe Mode and/or boot w/ a bootdisk and delete it that way.

Rescan after you boot back into Windows Me.

Is it possible to go to System Restore--however you get there and choose a date BEFORE the infection? I know when it happened

You could try that. Were you not able to delete it from Safe Mode or a bootdisk?

I've never been able to get System Restore to work, so I'd be prepared to backup all your stuff just in case.
