XP quick launch tool bar ?

I have just recently done a fresh install of XP pro on my 120 gig (3 partitions). I have enable the quick launch toll bar at the bottom as before but my last 2 programs won't stay in place when I start/re-boot the machine. In other words, they are still there, but the slider moves and covers them at reboot.

I have these progs in the tool bar: Show desktop, Opera, explorer, IE, power DVD, Outlook, Video in and Word... Even if I lock the toolbar they are still covered when I start/re-boot, so I have to move the slider every time.

I know I enabled/ disabled some things to make the machine smoother, but I'm not sure if that had any thing to do whith this.

How can I fix this?

Paul

hmm... good ol' XP and its random bullcrap.

Not entirely sure here, never really had that effect before unless the system didnt shut down properly.

If you lock the taskbar and reboot, does it remain locked but with an adjusted size, or is it both adjusted and unlocked?

It seems like it might not be shutting down properly and thus not saving all the settings. Anything show up in the event viewer?

Other than that I'm not really sure. A possible registry glitch? I know you can add registry settings that will allow you to have system settings set to a default on reboot.

Other than that I'm not really sure what could be causing it.

TaskBarPlus!

You can create the URL link yourself so it doesn't allow vBulletin to do the parsing
