DVD Burner

I'm looking to get a dvd burner but don't know what kind to get. Does anyone have any good sugestions on what kind I should get. Thanks.....

I don't know about brands but with the "up in the air" issues over plus or minus I'd get one that burns both.

HeadBand is on a distinguished road
lite on's are very nice and fairley inexpensive too...so right now that is what i would recomend

however in april dual layer burners will be realeased so it will be possible to backup a dvd without cutting stuff or reducing quality so if you plan to keep this for a while i would wait a couple months

I have a Pioneer DVR-106BK, very nice, and I'm very pleased. I've heard that Pioneer is the best, and Pioneer has said that they are going to release a firmware for the DVR and A0 models so that they can burn dual layer disc once they come out. So that's one reason I purchased it.

I have a friend who has both the Pioneer and the Liteon, and he loves both. He uses the Liteon the most cuz it burns +R at 8x.

Either would be a good choice at this point.
