another DVI question

Ok so which one will have better quality? or will both be the same?

Monitor VGA cable to DVI adapter to DVI slot in Radeon 9700 pro

OR

Monitor DVI slot to DVI cable to DVI slot in Radeon 9700 Pro

DVI = Digital

VGA = Analog

Any combo w/ the VGA will be less quality than just the DVI interface.

Lets turn this around so you'll have the correct idea. DVI slot to adapter (signal is now analog) to VGA cable into monitor. Obviously number 2 should have better quality.
