Systems new 2 linux

im new to linux and need help with earthlink. i have a sprint phone line that needs a pin entered after the phone number before i can make a call. i have suse 9.0 pers. please help ASAP!!!

count how many seconds you wait to enter the pin, then count how many seconds you have to wait after you enter the pin. ,'s are 2 second waits, so lets say 1234 is your pin, and 555-1111 is your dialup number. Lets say theres a 4 second wait before you enter the pin, and a 6 second wait till you dial the number. you'd enter this in where it asks for the number

,,1234,,,5551111

That should be a quick and easy way to get what ya need. Hope it works.

Edit: whoops. i reread it and you said after, so same steps but my example should be

,,5551111,,,1234

kinternet

i have kinternet, not kppp, and when i tried to install it, it wouldnt. i think i am having a problem with smpp, maybe?i got kinternet configured but when it tries to connect i get an error about smpp.

do you have a winmodem?...those are specailly made to be cheap and will only work in windows...if it is a baught computer it is most likley a winmodem
