alot of the ability to do this depends on the cell phone service and his calling plan

but he'd need to get either a phone/usb adapter or phone/serial and they can be bought on ebay fairly cheaply

a good place for cell info like this is http://www.howardforums.com/
{don't mean to promo another site but they have great info for cell users}

Do you mean internet access on your pc from a cell phone?

If so then yes, it's possible with most modern cell phones and with a little reading it seems to be possible with yours. Anyway, what you need is a "data cable" Nokia sells one for $50 but you can almost certainly do better on ebay.

When I did it with my old Motorola Star-tac it immediately accepted it as a "generic modem" and I only had to set up a dial up connection as usual. I can't say what your case will call for.

The speed was only (I think) 14.4k and was too slow for any useful surfing but it worked. I know some providers offer faster speeds but unless you pay for it you will probably be limited the the 14.4k (I'm making some educated guesses here)

BTW, I used it with my laptop to check email/icq/etc on the road. Pretty cool.

Send a message via Yahoo to Dax_Brandy
first of all you need to know it your cellphone has a built-in modem.. then if there is, connect it to your PC (via IR or serial cable or USB). let windows detect your cellphone and modem and install the drivers.

if you're going to use your cellphone for dial up access to the internet, you will still have to pay for the air time used during the connection.

good luck.
