resolution script

hi guys. i need some sort of script that will detect the users screen resolution and send them to a different page based on what their resolution is. im guessing this can be done with javascript, any ideas?

I've got no idea how to do it but when you figure it out I sure hope you would become the head webmaster at MSN.

Say what you want about Microsoft but they do have a pretty nice portal there. The fact that they optimize the page for 800x600 bugs the piss out of me though.. Every time I go there I'm only using half the monitor.... <grrrr>

the reason i need it is my site is designed for users with 1280x1024 or higher but a lot of people dont have theirs set that high but i dont want to change my site i would prefer to just make two versions so i need a script to determine which one to send people to.

I know what you were using it for. I've actually done what you're asking for but I just cut and paste the code from the kid sitting next to me.

Wish I could remember what it was - I'd give it to you.

Best bet would probobly be to just add a hi-res link to your site, although it would be twice the work for you.
