windows 2003 web server on cable modem!

I am trying to get a web server up, and for some reason I can not see it from a non-workgroup computer! My server is connected directly to the internet through a motorola surfboard modem, and I have all of the other computers running through a switch to connect to the internet. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

are you only having problems access the computer from the internet?

HIGHLY likely your ISP has port 80 blocked.

In IIS set the default port to 8080 and then try a URL like

http://68.100.100.100:8080

Also if you try it from the internet make sure you're using your routable IP.... NOT your internal IP (meaning DO NOT use the 192.168.x.x IP as it is useless on the internet)

Thank you for your response vass0922. That was the problem. My isp has a bunch of ports blocked but i do not know which ones they are exactly and i know there can be a lot of them. Is there an easy way to check out which ones are blocked or do i have to just play hit or miss. Thanks again.
